I am donating 6 paintings to Albany Center Gallery at our Youth Art Event.
The 6 paintings I am donating are 12"x36" canvases that I have started by drawing silhouettes of oil trains on them. 20-30 children will have the opportunity to sit down with me and creatively decorate these trains with their choice of graffiti. At the end of the evening, we will auction off these paintings in order to provide art supplies for the children and to provide future events that bring together children and local artists from the area.
If you are not interested in purchasing a painting but, you would still like to contribute to a local movement that nurtures the relationship between children and the arts, we encourage you to make a comfortable donation. Anyone that donates during the evening, will have an opportunity to sign their name, tag, color and/or decorate their own oil tanker with colored pencils, markers or paint and then hang it on the walls next to everyone else's art.
My contributions are just a small fraction of the effort being put into this event. Tony Iadicicco and several members of ACG will also be working with children to create art to auctioned at the end of the night and DJ Trumastr will be guiding us through the evening with his sonic collages.
Come to Albany Center Gallery in #DowntownAlbany, enjoy the art, music, food, drinks and help support a movement that allows children to experience the joy of art.
