This annual exhibition is collaboratively sponsored by the University Art Museum, the Albany Institute of History & Art, and The Hyde Collection, Glens Falls. Artists from the 2015 Mohawk Hudson Region share their influences in an unconventional format.

Juror: Rachel Uffner is the founder and director of Rachel Uffner Gallery since September of 2008. Uffner has been hailed as a front-runner of the resurging lower East Side art scene. She opened her eponymous gallery on the Lower East Side in September of 2008. Her rigor and tenacity have paid off. In the last six years, she has built an impressive selection of artists, whom she trusts to conceive interesting, original shows, and who in turn trust her feedback and judgment on their work. Two were featured in the 2014 Whitney Biennial. Earlier this year she relocated to a much larger Lower East Side space. Uffner's ascent is based on her keen eye, her integrity, and her passion for artistic dialogue. Her curated exhibitions draw from contemporary as well as art historical sources, always reflecting the rigor of someone who is constantly looking and thinking about art from multiple directions. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in art history and painting, she earned a coveted job at Christie's. She found her calling in galleries when she started as a receptionist at the now defunct D'Amelio Terras in Chelsea, working her way up to director.
